About the Site Designer: Shelly Durrell
It's only fair that you know a little bit about me and my background. Like you, I have had my share of ups and downs in my life, but through it all, I've ended up living a Great Life. I am one of those people who said "Someday I will write a book," and I did (Healing the Fisher King: Spiritual Lessons with Parzival, Gump, the Grail, and Star Wars). The book won five awards. I became a Kung Fu teacher (Sifu) in the Wah Lum Tam Tui Northern Praying Mantis System and also a teacher of Tai Chi and other Internal Martial Arts, teaching for over 24 years. I've organized shows, demonstrations, and seminars, allowing me to travel the world for these promotions. I've done rim-to-rim hikes of the Grand Canyon. A few years ago I moved to Vegas, allowing me to trek to Zion, Bryce, and the Grand Canyon a few times of the year. I continue to learn, grow, and seek out new adventures, which is my definition of a Great Life. I hope my website will help you enjoy your life and find your personal adventures.

It is your work in life that is the ultimate seduction.
— Pablo Picasso —
Picasso was a man who found his passion in life and made it his work. The best work is the work that is your play. In this exercise you will be exploring your future possibilities in your vocation. After completing the exercise, you can insert it into the Work section of your DYGL Binder if you are not writing about it in a separate journal.
My Work Force Exercise
- My Ultimate Fantasy.
Do you fantasize of the life of the artist, as Picasso? Do you dream of running a megalith corporation? The world is full of people who have chased their dreams to the big time, so feel free to imagine the ultimate. - My Closer to Reality Dream.
Maybe you would like to leave your current job and start your own business. Maybe you would like to just move up the ladder. Start where you are at now, and think about several levels you could move through and improve your current job situation. - What Part of My Dream Do I Have Now and How Did I Achieve It?
If you've ever made a dollar, you know how to work. List your attributes that make you a good worker and someone of great potential. - Why Haven't I Achieved More of My Dream to Date?
If you feel stuck in a rut, think of reasons why that is so. If you have had a failed business, think of the situations that contributed to that. If you have been fired, look at the situation from both the boss' and your point of view. If you need more education, write that out.
- Design Brainstorming.
Collect information on a business you would like to be in. If you need more skills, look into classes that move you up the ladder. Draw out that floor plan of the office you would like. Let your creative juices run wild.
