About the Site Designer: Shelly Durrell
It's only fair that you know a little bit about me and my background. Like you, I have had my share of ups and downs in my life, but through it all, I've ended up living a Great Life. I am one of those people who said "Someday I will write a book," and I did (Healing the Fisher King: Spiritual Lessons with Parzival, Gump, the Grail, and Star Wars). The book won five awards. I became a Kung Fu teacher (Sifu) in the Wah Lum Tam Tui Northern Praying Mantis System and also a teacher of Tai Chi and other Internal Martial Arts, teaching for over 24 years. I've organized shows, demonstrations, and seminars, allowing me to travel the world for these promotions. I've done rim-to-rim hikes of the Grand Canyon. A few years ago I moved to Vegas, allowing me to trek to Zion, Bryce, and the Grand Canyon a few times of the year. I continue to learn, grow, and seek out new adventures, which is my definition of a Great Life. I hope my website will help you enjoy your life and find your personal adventures.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

Mac Anderson's quote applies not only to a good approach to everyday life, but also to your physical life. Even approaching 100 years old, you can work on your body to improve that. I know that from experience, having arranged Tai Chi seminars for many years and seeing young and old improve with the proper work and attitude.
After completing the exercise, you can insert it into the Health and Fitness section of your DYGL Binder if you are not writing about it in a separate journal.
I Want to Be Healthy Exercise
- My Ultimate Fantasy.
Is it a model's body? Perhaps it's an Olympic athlete's body. Use this part of the exercise to hone in on what you think a healthy body is. - My Closer to Reality Dream.
Is it losing a few pounds or gaining a few? Maybe it is taking dance classes or kicking up your golf game. Perhaps you need to learn to cook healthy meals. Don't hold back on this list, as your health determines how easily it is to achieve other parts of your Great Life. - What Part of My Dream Do I Have Now and How Did I Achieve It?
Even small victories in the health arena are important. Think of the positive things your are doing now for your health and write down what they are. - Why Haven't I Achieved More of My Dream to Date?
Maybe you would rather watch television than pick up a tennis racquet. Maybe you are drinking eight sodas a day. Note all the negative habits you have keeping you from your healthy body. - Design Brainstorming.
Collect info on a hike you would like to experience. Clip pictures of the body you are aiming for. Download and print fitness articles. Seeing what others have achieved will give you confidence in your work.
